Hello, my friends! I pray that you had a good Christmas celebrating the birth of our Lord. My podcast will be back on January 4th, 2021, but in the meantime I’d like to share these encouraging thoughts.
It’s been a tough 2 months since Election Night. We’ve learned that government corruption is wider and deeper than we knew. Bill Barr managed to gain the trust of conservatives, while covertly protecting the swamp. The Supreme Court has forsaken the Constitution, and the Chief Justice is compromised. I could go on and on, but you’ve seen what I’ve seen. It doesn’t look good, but take heart because we walk by faith, not by sight.
In the Bible, God tells us, “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” – Philippians 4:6-7
I love these verses. God is telling us to make our requests known to Him, and having done that to trust that he will answer those requests. Do you think God doesn’t already know our requests before we make them? Of course he does, but he requires us to express our faith by making the request. It is our faith that moves God. Look at the many instances where Jesus healed people like the woman that touched the hem of his garment. He said, “your faith has healed you.” Clearly we know that she was healed by the power of God, but her faith was the catalyst. Without her faith, she would not have been healed. The same is true for us today. We must express our faith by making the requests.
Jesus told the disciples, “And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, you shall receive.” (Matthew 21:22) Of course, we know that there are some governing principles. James wrote, “You ask, and receive not, because you ask amiss that you may consume it upon your lusts.” (James 4:3) However, praying for #Trump2020 is a righteous prayer.
Finally, the verses say “the peace of God that passes all comprehension will guard our hearts and minds“. What does that mean? Well remember, we walk by faith, not by sight. The peace of God brought about by our faith is beyond the comprehension of the world. When we declare that President Trump WILL be president for four more years, people around us say, “How can you believe that! Can’t you see what is going on?” They base their understanding on what they see. As believers, we know that all things are possible with God. That’s why Peter wrote, “be ready always to give an answer to every man that asks you a reason of the hope that is in you.” (1 Peter 3:15) The world sees our faith, but they can’t understand it because “faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen“, as we are told in Hebrews 11:1. Our faith that God will answer our prayer for the nation by giving Trump the victory IS the evidence that it WILL happen. Why? Because God said to make your request known to Him and He will take care of it as long as we pray believing.
Don’t worry about anything, and pay no attention to what you “see”.
Pray, asking God for President Trump’s 2020 victory and 2nd Term.
Have faith that what you have asked will be done by the Father.
The peace of God will guard your heart and mind.
Take time to pray today. Make your requests for Trump’s victory known to God. It doesn’t have to be a flowery or lengthy prayer, just a simple conversation with God. Ask it in the name of Jesus, our intercessor, and it will be done by the Father. That is the promise of God.
May the Lord bless you and keep you, my friends!
