Politics & Religion

There’s a lot going on right now. We’re getting “intel” from a lot of sources, but not seeing anything happening. Have faith. Pray, and don’t worry. Let the peace of God that passes all understanding guard your hearts and minds. I know it’s hard, and that’s okay. Look at the man that brought his possessed son to Jesus. He said “if” you can, please heal my son. Was he doubting Jesus’ power? Not at all! Indeed, he had the faith to ask! He said “if” because he had just watched all of the disciples fail, so naturally he was wavering a little when he went to Jesus…but he still went. He had faith, even though he was a little worried. The same is true for us today. The closer we get to January 20th, the more we feel “concerned”. It’s natural. It’s human. It does not mean that we do not have faith or are doubting.

Hold the line. You are in good company. Think about those that have gone before, and the dark moments they lived through…but God brought them through it. (Moses, Joseph, Daniel, Shadrach/Meshach/Abednego, even Paul). Hebrews 11 (the faith hall of fame) gives several examples of the faithful. As you press forward believing that righteousness will prevail, you are in good company.

Finally, trust God, not “the plan”. Q and the plan may or may not be true – I don’t know. If they are, then they are tools used by God. Put your faith in the Creator, not the tools he uses. Have faith. Trust God. Righteousness will prevail and Trump will be our President for the next four years!

May the Lord bless you and keep you!
