Today is Day-35 of the Sword Training Challenge. We are very near the end, so keep on pressing in! It is my hope that you have formed a new habit that will continue for the rest of your days – that is, spending time with God through his Word. Today’s reading is from Colossians 2, and I am focused on verses 9-10,
“For in [Jesus] dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. And you are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power.”
If you have Christ in you, then you have the opportunity to walk in the authority of Christ. Don’t be deceived, though. You can’t grab hold of that kind of authority, it takes faith. More importantly, it takes obedience. Look at Philippians 2:5-11,
“Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal to God. But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men; And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
“Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every other name; That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth. And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”
We can walk in the authority of Jesus Christ, if we are willing to walk in humility and obedience to God’s will. I mean obedient to the point where we are truly living the scriptures where they say, “I am crucified with Christ, therefore I no longer live. Jesus Christ now lives in me.” I have not attained that level. I am far, far from it, but it’s my goal. I will keep pressing toward that goal all of the days of my life. I hope you will too!
May the Lord bless you and keep you, my friends!
